belinda,
actually cherryl was trying to tell us na the reason why
who is francis backed-out of the "date" was alie.
na kung di sumama si alie (or kung sino man),
tuloy sana ang romantic (to cherryl's eyes) date.
kaya lang, nang nalaman ni who is francis,
parang napaisip sya at nag-make ng excuse not to go.
pero even though i'm thousands miles away from manila,
i can clearly see that this is not the case.
chuks!
SCENARIO A:
who is francis has a long-time girlfriend.
one day, during a phone call, who is francis tells his girlfriend,
"i love you", in front of cherryl.
there are two ways to interpret this:
a. he loves his girlfriend and not interested in cherryl
b. he loves his girlfriend but is interested in cherryl
if we take answer a, then cherryl's insinuations about
what "really" happened regarding the aborted date is baseless,
that francis really had to bring his lola to the hospital,
and wasn't making any excuse not to go.
if we then take answer b, there's an outside chance
that cherryl's insinuations could be true.
but then, what kind of man would say i love you
to his girlfriend in front of someone he "likes"?
is this acceptable, gentlemanly behavior?
i strongly believe that cherryl deserves so much better than this.
and for that, i've come up with:
SCENARIO B:
who is francis has a long-time girlfriend.
one day, during a phone call, who is francis tells his girlfriend,
"i love you", in front of cherryl.
cherryl starts to ignore him for the rest of her life,
and meets her one true love in megamall while ice-skating.
and they live happily ever after.
chuks! pis cherryl!
